New year and Mosaics

I was remembering the old tiled backgrounds with windows while watching some old Unix CDE desktops. Not only they looked fly as fuck, but they were also incredibly optimised. I used NsCDE's¹ data backdrops to make some tiles. And idiotically enough, I tried to compile all of the tiles (168 designs) with all the palettes (8 colours per palettes, which were 77) which ended with 103 488 images, using 12GB of space. Where originally, all of it fitted in 20MB.

I've been getting a bit tired of not using lots of colours in my life. So I added some to Xmobar with both the config and the dynamicLog Pretty Print (PP fot short). Plus made the BorzOS motif stronger.

And of coures I'm using emacs as my main media centre (emms).

I really like how Marble-Broica-6 looks. I also changed the page's Water.gif background to it. I'll miss it, but on the long run it'll be better and the page will render faster.

Just as we started this year a lot of shit has happened. But please don't forget to add a lot of colour to you life and to the life of others.
